Inter Parish Quiz

Following Littleton-on-Severn’s win last year we’re hoping to bring back the trophy to Alveston. Local quiz teams from the area are most welcome to come and compete.

OAP Christmas Lunch

This is our chance to entertain the older folks in the benefice. Last year we invited people from Littleton and Elberton to join us for lunch, which is free. Entertainment provided by the Music Group and friends.

Alveston Singers

A welcome return for the Alveston singers with their latest Christmas Concert

Christmas Party

At Alveston Youth Centre. Licenced bar and entertainment

Carol Singing around the Village

Meet at the Cross hands car park after 6.45 for a 7.00pm kick-off. Carol sheets will be provided but bring warm clothes and lanterns or torches. All welcome to come along – we aim to finish up back at the Cross Hands at around 8.30pm for a warm up and a drink. We may even sing a few carols in the pub!

Sister Annaliese to preach

If you’ve been one of the many people who have supported our appeal on behalf of Sister Annaliese and her companions in the St Paul’s area of Bristol, you might like to come to our 10.00 service on January 8th when she will be our guest preacher. Over the past few years we have collected and sent hundreds of bags of non-perishable food, ring-pull tins, tea, coffee and sugar which are distributed weekly to exceptionally poor and vulnerable people living in the centre of Bristol. Some are homeless and sleeping rough, many are in deep personal turmoil. Come and meet the woman whose idea, the “Loaves and fishes” project, has become an inspiration to many of us.

Bingo, beer, bangers and mash

It does what it says on the poster! Details as soon as the hall is booked.

2006 Summer Fete

An early date for your diaries. After last year’s successful fete we’ve decided to move the event to Sunday afternoon on a regular basis. Further details later.
